Although summer has come and gone what feels like too quickly, autumn is arriving with many new adventures to offer. Many may have a hard time kissing the sunny weather and beach days goodbye, but I know for myself personally, autumn is my favorite season. The holidays are on the way and the weather is finally bearable, and there is lots to look forward to.
Instead of being sad about summer ending, think about all that autumn has to offer. There is so much to do during the colorful season. Let’s make the most of it. Here are just a few of the many things to look forward to this fall:
Let’s be honest; fall has the best aesthetic. The woven wreathes, muted colors, and pumpkin everything makes your home look all the more cozy. Look forward to making a nice, warm cup of apple cider, and decorating your home with all of your favorite warm blankets and cinnamon scented candles.
While bright summer colors are a lot of fun, there is just something so comforting about the earthy fall shades. It is always exciting watching the leaves change colors and it makes nature all the more breathtaking to look at.
One of the best parts about autumn is pumpkin everything. Going pumpkin picking is tradition to get into the Halloween spirit. Get excited to go pumpkin picking and carve out your scariest Jack-o-Lantern. There’s only one time of the year you can do this, and it is now!
It’s pie season. Apple pie, pumpkin pie, banana crème (my favorite). Baking can be a great way to bond with your friends and family. This Thanksgiving, get together with your parents or children to create the tasty treat.
Autumn is the perfect time to have a bonfire. It isn’t too hot to be sitting by a fire, and there isn’t snow on the ground to ruin it. Get together with your closest friends to roast some marshmallows and enjoy the night.
Although I’ll miss wearing shorts and sundresses, there is nothing cozier than a sweater and leggings. Fall makes it easy to look cute and put together, while still being put together.
Hay Rides and Haunted Houses
Fun things to do in the fall are hay rides and haunted houses- or better yet- a haunted hay ride! Even if you don’t handle scary well, hay rides can still be a lot of fun in the fall. You’re never too old for a hay ride!
My favorite holiday has always been Halloween. I love having the opportunity to get creative with a costume and to be able to wear something totally crazy without judgment. Not to mention, I love candy and chocolates and Halloween finally gives me an excuse to indulge as much as I want! Get pumped for Halloween and get as creative and crazy with your costume as you desire!
There is so much to do in autumn and so many opportunities to spend time with the people you love. Get excited for the cool weather and the pumpkin spiced lattes because before you know it, winter will be here with a whole new load of adventures to partake in. While summer may be a hard goodbye, embrace the upcoming season. You’ll miss it when it’s gone!
