Be Thankful

Today is Thanksgiving so I want to keep this post short and sweet. What better topic to write about on Thanksgiving than gratitude? If you keep up with this blog, you know I make gratitude a large theme and that it is very important to me. The past few months for me have been extremely stressful and I often find myself feeling very lost and confused as to where life is leading me. During difficult times like this, it can be hard to be grateful. However, that’s exactly why it’s important. There is so much to be thankful for and we shouldn’t take any of it for granted. When you’re going through a tough time, take a moment to count your blessings. It might not solve what you’re going through, but it’ll help you realize that there is so much love in your life that’ll keep pushing you forward.

This Thanksgiving, I am feeling very thankful to have a place to live. Something many people take for granted is something I couldn’t be more grateful for. I am a recent college graduate struggling to make an income, but I am lucky that at the very least, I have a comfortable home and food on the table.

Appreciating even the small things in life will make the hard times seem a little bit bearable. There is good and bad in the world, but it is up to you to focus on the good. If you focus on what you want and what you don’t have, you’ll let all the blessings in your life pass you by. Be grateful for each moment and accept your life how it is. Even when you’re stuck in a rut, remember all you have to be grateful for and know that things will get better. Love the card you’ve been dealt and don’t spend your life dwelling on what could be.

Tell your parents, your kids, your brothers and sisters, and your friends how much you love them. Give your pet a kiss and a sweet belly rub. Be grateful for what you have, and enjoy your Thanksgiving with your loved ones.
